What this covers

This policy applies to the Roleon website and mobile app. Roleon helps people build a job profile, find relevant roles, and track applications.

Account and profile

To sign in, you provide an email address. We use it to send a one-time sign-in code and keep account and session records needed to secure your account. Your profile may include your name, contact details, work and education history, skills, current and preferred locations, role and salary preferences, notice period, remote-work preference, and professional profile links.

If you choose to import a public professional profile, we collect information available from that public profile.

Resumes and job activity

If you upload a resume, we store the file and extracted text. Resume text may be sent to a service provider to parse it and build your profile. Personal details included in the resume can be part of that text.

We record your job swipes, saved jobs, match scores, and application status. The app also keeps some saved-job and application details on your device.

Device and service information

The app and its service providers may receive crash reports, error details, device and app identifiers, startup and network performance information, and information used to deliver notifications or app settings. The website stores your theme preference on your device. Servers may receive basic request information, such as your IP address and browser details.

If you link a supported voice assistant, we associate its account identifier with your Roleon account so it can request job recommendations.

How we use information

• To sign you in and protect your account.
• To create your profile, recommend and explain job matches, and track job activity.
• To help you complete an application you choose to open.
• To diagnose errors, improve performance, deliver requested notifications, and provide support.
• To comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests.

Who receives information

Providers that operate our hosting, email sign-in, resume processing, notifications, and app diagnostics receive information needed for those services. We may also disclose information when required by law.

When you open an employer application form, the app may fill in your name, email, phone number, and professional profile links. The opened employer site can receive those values before you finally submit the form. You may also choose to attach your resume. Review the form and the employer's privacy practices before proceeding; employer sites may use their own cookies and collect browsing information.

Retention and your choices

We do not currently have a single fixed retention period for account and profile information. Replacing a resume triggers an attempt to remove the older file and record. Signing out clears local sign-in tokens and the app's saved-job and application cache, but it does not delete your account, profile, or resume from our servers.

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information using the contact details below. We will handle requests under applicable law, including information that must be retained for legal reasons.

Security and processing locations

We use safeguards such as protected sign-in records and secure storage for sign-in tokens on your device. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Some providers may process information outside your country.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app changes. The latest version and its update date will appear on this page.
